Job summary

Ranger Energy Services seeks a Rig Operator I to manage rig controls and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role supervises crewmembers during active operations and coordinates with customer representatives to provide reliable service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and extensive experience on well servicing rigs. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety procedures while maintaining productive performance at the location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 7 years’ experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• 5 years of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a relief operator preferred.
• Must be able to successfully perform duties of Floor Hand III and derrick hand.

Responsibilities

• Promote RES Stop Work Accountability and safety policies.
• Operate the rig safely during rig up/down and pulling operations.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment; coordinate maintenance requests.
• Oversee daily rigging, pipe tallying, and BOP-related tasks.
• Train and mentor crew members on day-to-day operations.
• Stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately.
