Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to provide advanced technical guidance in supporting sales of networked printing devices, software, servers, and professional services across large format and production environments.

You will back the sales team in customer meetings, perform on-site evaluations, train staff, and help deliver complex installations, integration projects, and post-sales support, including 24/7 coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Relevant business experience relating to printing pre-sales/post- sales support in Large Format, office and production environments.
• Understand and be comfortable in using the Adobe Creative Suite product, Quark Xpress and/or other standard Color composition and management tools and respective file formats (JPEG, TIFF. EPS, PDF).
• Able to use and operate Postscript/PDF file handling tools- Acrobat Pro Distiller, etc.
• Extensive travel is required, up to 70% with overnight stays (valid drivers' license and acceptable driving record necessary). Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are required.
• Certified Color Management Professional Master; Additional Datastream knowledge – AFP, VIPP, PPML and LCDS/Metacode a plus.
• Understanding of complex systems solutions, integration and networking in Windows, UNIX & Macintosh environments.
• Responsible for providing post-sales 24/7 after hours support and implementation services.

Responsibilities

• Support sales with enterprise printing applications and solution architectures; participate in sales calls.
• Attend on-site customer visits for meetings, surveys, and inspections.
• Meet with customer IT staff as technical advisor.
• Collaborate on RFP responses and provide ongoing project management support.
• Assist installation and integration of products and applications.
• Generate professional services revenue streams and deliver training and integration direction.
