Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Stockton, CA is seeking a Production Planner who releases and tracks work orders from inception to completion using our MRP system. The role ensures on-time delivery by coordinating with program teams and shop floor.

You will monitor WIP, manage material shortages, generate shipping documents, and maintain accurate inventory levels. Candidates should have 2–5 years of MRP/ERP experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and 2-5 years of experience using MRP/ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience as a production planner or materials planner in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with shared work centers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, monitor & update work orders in accordance with MPS/MRP planned order requirements.
• Track W/Os from material kitting through closing.
• Follow/expedite work orders through all operations and processes to meet dates.
• Assist manufacturing activities across shared work centers and keep products on schedule.
• Coordinate any shortages/material replacement with program teams and store.
• Provide status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems.
• Generate shipping documents using MRP.
• Monitor WIP inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
