Job summary

AtWork Group in Stockton, CA is seeking an organized Production Scheduler to translate sales orders and MRP demand into feasible production schedules, releasing and managing work orders from start to finish.

The role requires 2–5 years in production scheduling, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication; you will coordinate with program managers and production teams to keep shipments on track.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling or related area.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to production operations, machine shops, or similar facilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing production requirements.
• College-level education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales orders and MRP demand into organized and achievable production schedules.
• Release and manage work orders from inception through completion.
• Monitor workflow to ensure parts move efficiently between stages.
• Follow up with production teams regarding job status, timing, and delays.
• Expedite operations and adjust schedules for unforeseen conditions.
• Coordinate with Program Managers to determine project status and production requirements.
• Prepare work orders to initiate production and maintain flow of parts.
• Prepare production reports and status updates for management.
• Close completed work orders and prepare shipping documentation for final customer shipments.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipping details and delivery information as needed.
• Identify scheduling issues and coordinate with teams to keep production moving.
