Howmet Aerospace in California is seeking a Production Planner to schedule and coordinate the flow of products through the production cycle. You will provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to meet customer delivery dates.

Key responsibilities include reviewing open sales orders, coordinating part delivery, releasing work orders, collaborating across teams, and using ERP/MRP systems. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in production planning are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5+ years Production Planning experience with 2+ years in manufacturing.
• ERP or MRP software experience is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel formulas, lookups and pivot tables; query capability is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
• Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule.
• Execute MRB messages to push, pull, or release Work Orders and release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking.
• Collaborate with appropriate teams to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met; create action plans and ensure follow-through.
• Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages and notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers.
• Proactively coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
• Follow policies and initiate changes to improve overall effectiveness.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems for production planning and control.
