Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Production Support Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead cross-functional product development and manufacturing initiatives from concept to production.

You will apply PDP, PPS, and Lean principles to support new product introductions and continuous improvement, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, and suppliers. The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and delivering manufacturable, cost-effective solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years in program leadership or engineering project/design leadership.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with managers, leaders, staff and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional product development and manufacturing engineering programs from concept through production.
• Direct programs using PDP and PPS, ensuring requirements, deliverables, milestones, and objectives are achieved.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and team assignments; coordinate issue resolution across functions.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting manufacturing and product issues and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with teams and suppliers to develop manufacturable, cost‑effective product and process solutions.
• Drive manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement through Lean principles and process optimization.
• Communicate program status, risks, resource needs, and technical recommendations to leadership.
• Support documentation, training, and successful implementation of new products and processes.
