Job summary

Polaris Huntsville is seeking a motivated team member to support productivity, quality, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting. The role involves removing obstacles, containing line disruptions, coaching operators, and driving lean initiatives while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The position requires effective communication, cross-training abilities, and a willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate technical skills in business, quality, and/or manufacturing.
• Have a fundamental understanding of manufacturing environments and processes.
• Ability to work with systems including timekeeping (AS400, Kronos), RF/bar-coding, and MS Office.
• Be results-driven with ability to foster positive culture.
• Balance multiple demands, solve problems, and plan effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and remove obstacles to operator standard work.
• Support daily production by containing and escalating problems on the line.
• Drive continuous improvement and escalate issues needing countermeasures.
• Develop and support quality initiatives to achieve industry-leading quality and service.
• Document problems for root cause analysis and countermeasures.
• Audit operator work compliance and maintain visual management (5S).
• Direct and execute daily work assignments per department needs.
• Lead daily team meetings to improve safety, quality, service, and cost.
