Job summary

Polaris Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor to provide day-to-day leadership for production operations. You will guide teams, allocate resources, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while partnering with maintenance, engineering, and other leaders to drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, production reporting, and operational ownership to impact manufacturing results and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives within a team-based setting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to prepare and maintain production reports and operational documentation.
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support production team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational objectives.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily production activities and work assignments to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
• Communicate and coordinate with production teams, supervisors, and cross-functional departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, productivity, and employee health and safety standards.
• Monitor workplace organization and housekeeping to address safety concerns promptly.
• Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
• Prepare, maintain, and review production reports, records, and performance metrics, taking corrective action when needed.
• Coordinate maintenance and engineering support activities to minimize disruptions.
• Analyze inventory levels and support material planning to maintain production continuity.
• Manage departmental spending, support budget adherence, and purchase necessary equipment and materials.
• Enforce company policies and address employee performance or conduct issues as appropriate.
