Job summary

TransTech Fabrication, Inc. in McGregor, Texas, is seeking a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery targets.

You will oversee production schedules, department budgets, and a skilled supervisory team, collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, HR, and Quality to deliver high-value projects safely and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, lean manufacturing know-how, and ability to improve throughput

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of fabrication and welding practices, pressure vessel manufacturing, and industrial production workflows.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage large teams across shifts.
• Proficiency in production planning, capacity analysis, and resource management.
• Effective communicator, able to influence across functions and levels.
• Ability to analyze production data, drive accountability, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Computer proficiency including production management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Mentor production supervisors, leads, and floor personnel across multiple shifts.
• Set performance goals and monitor KPIs for production efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Drive workforce planning, including hiring strategies, succession planning, and cross-training programs.
• Facilitate leadership development and coaching for supervisory staff.
• Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Oversee daily production activities and long-term capacity planning to meet project and business needs.
• Own and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and material flow across departments.
• Ensure timely delivery of fabricated components and final assemblies according to customer specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to manage supply chain and mitigate disruptions.
• Implement systems to track labor productivity, downtime, and throughput metrics.
