Summary: Responsible for the efficient and accurate mixing, blending, and cooking of raw ingredients. In case of absence, the position will be filled by adequately trained personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate large volume kettles and mixers as the primary processor of finished food-grade products. Work with an assistant on processing lines at periodic times.
2. Ensure product quality adherence by verifying solids, ingredients, instrument calibration, magnet inspections, and chart recorder accuracy.
3. Follow blending recipes and HACCP steps strictly to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards, while maintaining focus on Quality and Food Safety (including Allergen Control).
4. Learn, operate, and adjust multiple inline processing equipment, including processing kettles, in an organized manner.
5. Perform preventative maintenance, upkeep, and follow-up on equipment maintenance. Collaborate closely with Maintenance to improve equipment performance. Possess basic light industrial skills and machine troubleshooting abilities.
6. Conduct viscosity and sensory testing on batches produced.
7. Work closely with QC and QA teams on all new and existing processes.
8. Communicate effectively within the department to ensure efficient and productive processing.

Education and/or Experience:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic math operations and interpret bar graphs and chart recorders.
• HACCP Certification.
