Job Overview

At Richelieu Foods, our mission is simple - Great Food from Great People! We are seeking a Production Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift to operate machinery and supply the line with products according to customer specifications.

Essential Functions
  • Perform all work activities adhering to the highest standards for quality and safety, following food safety requirements.
  • Verify conformance to customer specifications, including proper application of ingredients/materials.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Make adjustments to run production efficiently.
  • Accurately record line downtime and maintain paperwork.
  • Maintain machinery in a sanitary condition and recommend improvements.
  • Follow company policies, GMPs, and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Use required PPE and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, with attention to detail.
  • Report any food or safety concerns to management.
  • Set up and break down machinery and complete all assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 months of experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime when scheduled.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
  • Basic math skills for filling out company documents and measurements.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to moving equipment, cold environments, and wet/humid conditions during sanitation. Regularly stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must wear hearing protection and be able to perform physical tasks as described.
