Job summary

Mativ Windsor, CT is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production floor on the assigned shift, driving safety, quality, delivery and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

You will plan and assign personnel (including overtime), coach staff, manage everyday production issues, and push continuous improvement with 5S and root-cause actions while ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Proven hands-on leadership ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of management.
• Excellent computer skills. Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Access proficiency required.
• Fluency in English both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Be a champion of safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures and improving safe work practices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on equipment use and policies.
• Oversee production departments by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising results.
• Schedule and assign personnel, including overtime, and manage production progress and priorities.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions while enforcing policies.
• Ensure quality by understanding requirements and driving corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Lead waste elimination through variance analysis and corrective measures.
• Foster employee engagement with department meetings and transparent communication.
• Define and track KPI targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost, scrap, and productivity.
• Support hiring by interviewing and making recommendations to HR.
• Maintain equipment operation by submitting maintenance requests and evaluating new techniques.
• Perform 30/60/90-day reviews and annual evaluations.
• Lead 5S and other improvement events to sustain cleanliness and efficiency.
