Graham Packaging is seeking a Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive efficiency across shifts. You will coordinate with supervisors, manage staffing, and lead cost-effective production planning.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in operations or related field and/or related experience.
• Minimum five years in supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and demonstrate leadership.

Aufgaben

• Enforces safety, health, quality GMP and company policies and procedures.
• Oversees Production department personnel and HR issues (hiring, reviews, recognition, disciplinary, attendance, grievances).
• Participates in plant staff, shift and safety meetings and conducts departmental training as needed.
• Executes production schedule to satisfy time, cost and quality, meeting customer service requirements.
• Manages temporary staffing levels to achieve plant objectives for labor efficiency.
• Responsible for selection, training and development of shift personnel.
• May lead special projects related to other functional areas.
• Conducts trials and R&D for packaging conditions (e.g., banding, stretch wrap).
• Participates in plant operational planning meetings and process improvements.
• Develops new methods to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Assists in physical inventories following corporate procedures.
• Ensures SOPs are developed and employees trained to meet objectives.
