Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to assist with day-to-day store operations and production performance, aiming to meet and exceed budget while complying with company standards, policies, and procedures. The Production Lead may act as supervisor when assigned by the Store Manager or Production Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in service industry preferred.
• Retail training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Meet production goals: at least 110 garments per hour with 90% quality.
• Ensure donated items are processed and ready for floor.
• Serve as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Produce donated goods in backroom to maintain a positive public image with a clean store.
• Maintain safe back-room conditions.
• Keep store clean and hazard-free.
• Enforce personnel and safety policies among production associates.
• Able to perform Production Associate duties.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned.

• Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)

Requirements:

• HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyinEnglish.
• Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
