Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA is seeking a Production Lead to support day-to-day store operations and production performance, aiming to meet or exceed budget while complying with company standards, policies and procedures. The Lead may act as a supervisor when assigned by the Store Manager or Production Manager and may serve in supervisory capacity during scheduled hours.

• High school diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.

• Assist Store/Production Manager to meet daily and monthly production goals.
• Lead by example to motivate staff and model professional performance.
• Ensure donations are processed and ready for store floor while maintaining safety policies.

• Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProductionAssociates.

Requirements:

• HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyinEnglish.
• Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
