Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in Baton Rouge is seeking a Production Lead to supervise daily store operations and production performance to meet budget while adhering to company standards and procedures.

You will act as a positive role model, assist the Store Manager or Production Manager, and help ensure donations are processed and presented on the floor, while maintaining safety and a clean, hazard-free environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Reach production goals (minimum 110 garments per hour with 90% quality).
• Ensure donations are processed and ready to display on store floor.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Produce donated goods in backroom to present Goodwill image to public.
• Maintain safe and appropriate back-room conditions.
• Keep store clean and hazard-free (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms).
• Observe personnel and safety policies to ensure compliance.
• Perform duties of Production Associates when needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned.

• Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)

Requirements:

• HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyinEnglish.
• Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
