Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, is seeking a Production Lead to supervise and coach the Production Team Partners. You will manage scheduling, training, safety, sanitation, and ordering for production, while ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient workflows.

You will lead daily operations, support the Store/Department in the Manager's absence, and coach teams to maintain strong customer service and accurate production processes.

Qualifications

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: 6+ months in a related role
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Responsibilities

• Store Lead Operations: Applies experience and knowledge to support the Store and Department in Manager's absence
• Leads a team in efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflow
• Delegates/directs work; assists with department-related expectations (e.g., ORT, wrap, safety, sanitation, 5s)
• Might coach and/or provide feedback; may help with department work schedules
• Trains new partners on production processes
• Ensures compliance with company, Store, and department policies and procedures
• Assists in all technical areas such as scanning as needed
• Handles Customer, Partner, and sanitation issues per guidelines; escalates when needed
• Troubleshoots/reports equipment issues
• Ensures adequate levels of product and supplies for day-to-day operations
• Serves as a central contact between the Manager and other Production Team Partners
• Performs Department and cross-functional duties as needed
• Role models/fosters excellent customer service
• Production: ordering product and ingredients; assists with loads, unloads, moves product
• Executes and ensures compliance of Fresh Production Planner
• Ensures production processes minimize shrink and ensure quality control
• Ensures tag-to-tag integrity for production planograms
• Ensures FIFO and dating of salesfloor items & bulk production process
• Ensures wareroom and wrap areas are organized
• Food Safety/Sanitation: Practices safety awareness
• Oversees sanitation standards; ensures SOP compliance
• Cleans and sanitizes areas and equipment
• Follows department/store operating procedures and regulations
