Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, is seeking a Smart Shop Exempt Department Manager to oversee department operations including perishable departments, center store, Inventory Flow, Receiving, and Shelf Edge, with emphasis in your area of expertise.

You will lead staffing, training, scheduling, and financial reviews; ensure safety, quality, and customer service; and partner with leadership to execute total store plans.

Qualifications

• Operational / Retail Management experience.
• Leadership in a complex environment with multiple direct reports.
• Thorough understanding of retail accounting.
• Experience in ordering.
• Inventory maintenance and shrink control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations across perishable, center store, inventory flow, receiving, and shelf edge.
• Manage staffing, training, and scheduling for area of focus.
• Review financial and performance reports and act on opportunities.
• Lead the Inventory Flow team to maximize productivity.
• Ensure safety, quality, and customer service standards.
