Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to manage day-to-day store operations and production performance, ensuring budgets are met and standards upheld.

This role acts as a supervisor when needed, with responsibilities that include training, safety, and maintaining a clean, customer-friendly store environment. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities

• Reach production goals: minimum 110 garments per hour with 90% minimum quality.
• Ensure proper production of donations processed and ready to put on store floor.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in all aspects of performance.
• Produce donated goods in backroom adequately; create a positive public image through a clean store environment, displays, and presentable staff.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the back-room area.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free by vacuuming, mopping, and dusting, including bathrooms.
• Observe personnel and safety policies; ensure compliance by Production Associates.
• Perform the duties of Production Associates as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned by manager.

• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.

Requirements:

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
