Job summary

Allia Health Group, the umbrella for Southend Pharmacy, seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide front-line and hands-on support for roughly 75 on-site administrative employees and the Southend Pharmacy production floor. This is not a standard service desk; high-speed vial printers, label verification, and barcode scanning sit directly between an order and a shipment.

Working knowledge of LifeFile and other pharmacy platforms is required, with on-site responsibilities and strict SLA adherence

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 3+ years in desktop, endpoint, or field support.
• Hands-on hardware repair of printers; diagnose at device level.
• Endpoint provisioning via imaging or device management; verify security agent.
• Experience in a ticketing system with defined SLAs.
• Support non-technical staff in person.

Responsibilities

• Production Device Support: Maintain high-speed printers, label printers, barcode scanners, and verification stations; production-down if failure occurs.
• Hot Spare Discipline: Keep spare units and consumables stocked for production-critical devices.
• LifeFile Front-Line Support: Resolve LifeFile issues at workstation and user level; escalate config issues.
• Endpoint Lifecycle: Image, enroll, and deploy devices through MDM with security baseline.
• Controlled Area Support: Follow USP 797/800 gowning and access requirements during servicing.
• Onboarding & Offboarding: Day-one setup and same-day device wipe; lifecycle closing.
