Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a retail management professional to lead a store operations team in Rockville, MD. You will oversee daily functions, coach staff, and ensure exceptional customer service to donors and shoppers.

The role emphasizes process management, safety, and adherence to company policies in a dynamic community-focused environment. Strong communication and flexible scheduling are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• Basic math and computer skills; familiarity with POS and timekeeping systems.
• Strong English communication; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager with the overall operation of the business unit.
• Develops, coaches and trains all direct reports in the business unit.
• Helps to create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Makes recommendations for hiring and evaluating of associates on the team.
• Performs daily administrative/clerical functions of store operations.
• Provides exceptional customer service to customers, including resolving concerns.
• Fulfills the duties of store personnel when needed.
• Models, monitors and enforces company policies, SOPs and values; ensures proper sales procedures.
• Maintains the general appearance of the store and premises.
• Assists in enforcing store safety and security procedures.
• Maintains production levels and quality of merchandise for the sales floor.
• Monitors donor flow and adheres to standard practices.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
