Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for a Retread Technician in Portland, OR. You will be part of the retread team, helping extend tire life by recapping and remolding tires and ensuring quality through multiple process steps from inspection to final curing.

The role offers on-site work with a shift pattern and weekly pay, starting hourly pay between $27 and $30, plus full benefits and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• 3-5 years production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Apply new tread using rubber cement or patches to repair the casing.
• Build the tire by applying new tread and curing the retread.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
