Job summary

Goodyear in Indianapolis is hiring Retread Technicians. As a member of our retread team, you will participate in the life-cycle extension of tires by inspecting casings, buffing worn tread, removing objects, repairing the casing, applying new tread, curing the tire, and performing final inspections to ensure safety and quality.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retread suitability.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust and repair the casing.
• Apply rubber cement or patch to repair the casing.
• Apply new tread and cure the retread.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
