Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for a Retread Technician to support our tire retread plants. No prior experience is required as training is provided, and you will learn the full retread process from inspection through final quality checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• No prior experience required; training provided on the job.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing/General Labor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to determine if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust and repair the tire casing.
• Apply rubber cement or patch to the casing and install new tread.
• Assemble the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to set the retread and ensure quality.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
