Job summary

Goodyear in Springfield, MO is seeking an entry-level Retread Technician to support tire retreading processes. You will inspect tires, buff casings, remove debris, perform repairs, apply new tread, and cure retreaded tires.

No prior experience required as training is provided; 18+ and U.S. work authorization are needed. Competitive starting pay and weekly pay with OT opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or general labor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retreadability.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Apply rubber cement or patch to repair the casing before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread and curing the retread.
• Perform final inspection to ensure safety and quality.
