Job summary

AbbVie in Illinois seeks a manufacturing operator to set up equipment for routine processes, monitor complex operations, and contribute to improvements in facilities and procedures. Under supervision, you will learn the full scope of departmental processes and participate in safety and regulatory training.

You will work with a trainer to master equipment setup, adjust for minor process changes, and identify opportunities to enhance work performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP policies as described in responsibilities.
• Basic technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in a chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of department operating procedures, guidelines, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of basic jobs in assigned area of responsibility and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies.
• Proficient in either manual or controlled process equipment.
• Learns and expands knowledge with the help of the certified and qualified trainer.
• Comprehends and applies required technical, regulatory, and safety training.
• Ability to troubleshoot problem situations with occasional assistance.
• Under occasional supervision makes timely decisions to accomplish department goals.
• Attends and actively participates in meetings; shares information to promote efficiency.
