Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Technician/Operator to monitor equipment and processes, perform setup and cleanup, and ensure adherence to GMP guidelines. Desired candidates have a strong technical background, extensive manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead teams while maintaining rigorous safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; degree desirable.
• At least 8 years of manufacturing experience in chemical/pharma as Operator or Technician.
• Experience with validation, troubleshooting and document management is required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written operating instructions.
• Ability to explain deviations or mistakes in the process in writing.
• Proficiency with basic arithmetic and algebra for process calculations.
• Ability to work autonomously with sound decision making and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow policies; document data per GMP guidelines.
• Review batch records and suggest procedural improvements; identify safety/process issues.
• Provide accurate equipment status reports and set up equipment for changes.
• Assist process support, engineering, and validation groups with new equipment deployment.
• Coordinate with warehouse for timely staging and supplies.
• Back up as floor trainer or team leader when needed.
• Perform equipment inspections and sign off per procedures.
• Identify hold points and schedule work to meet process needs.
• Support safety changes and collaborate with other areas on GMP needs.
