Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a lead that will drive engineering teams delivering production AI solutions for public accounting and corporate tax departments. You will hire, develop senior talent, and oversee delivery from rapid prototypes to multi-month implementations.

The role blends engineering leadership, client delivery ownership, and deep technical judgment in production AI. You will oversee staffing, capacity planning, and forecasting, while defining standards for AI quality, risk controls,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or technical consulting.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams and hiring senior engineers.
• Experience delivering client-facing engineering projects in a consulting or services setting.
• Proven track record shipping LLM-powered applications to production.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and establishing team workflows around them.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop a senior engineering team of engagement leads, AI engineers and integration engineers.
• Own staffing, capacity planning and delivery forecasting across client engagements.
• Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions including RAG, agents and tool integrations.
• Set standards for AI quality, evaluation and risk controls for regulated work.
• Own delivery health and client outcomes across engagements and manage escalations.
• Improve engineering effectiveness through AI-enabled development and automated pipelines.
• Partner with business, product and platform leaders to align demand with capacity.
