Job summary

RTX is seeking a Production Test Engineer for the Tucson site. The role is onsite and supports the DoD-related production test process. Must have a DoD Secret clearance or be able to obtain one, and be able to work the 2nd shift.

The team focuses on improving test efficiency, data-driven yields, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, creating BOEs, maintaining test data packages, leading root cause investigations, and coordinating test capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
• Ability to support 2nd shift.
