Job summary

RTX is seeking a Production Test Engineer (PTE) for our Tucson, AZ site to support test processes across product life cycles. You will troubleshoot, write rework instructions, and help manage test equipment and capacity to meet production needs.

Qualified candidates have a STEM degree and electrical/electronic troubleshooting experience, with ability to obtain ATF access. This is a 2nd shift role offering strong benefits and career growth within a DoD-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creates and maintains spares and test equipment obsolescence plans.
• Creates Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for capacity, new capabilities, and obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time and improve test processes from metrics and trends.
• Develops test flows and contributes to test capacity analysis.
• Maintains changes to test equipment data packages, drawings, and manuals.
• Assists in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair.
• Leads root cause investigations and presents findings with fault trees.
• Performs risk assessments and supports program risk reviews.
• Supports 2nd shift operations.
