Job summary

RTX is seeking a Production Test Engineer (PTE) in Tucson, AZ to support test processes across the product life cycle on a 2nd shift. You will troubleshoot hardware, develop test flows, and maintain test equipment documentation.

You will lead root cause investigations, contribute to capacity planning, and drive process improvements using predictive metrics. Candidates must be able to obtain ATF access and meet DoD clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates to estimate costs for capacity and obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time and improve test processes through data analysis.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment documentation and software.
• Assist in fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of products or test equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and present findings.
• Performs risk assessments and supports risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
• Ability to support 2nd shift.
