Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, is hiring Production Test Engineers to support test processes across the product life cycle. This on-site role in Tucson requires troubleshooting, test equipment maintenance, and process improvements on the second shift.

The candidate will contribute to cost estimates, test flows, and root-cause investigations, with opportunities to advance in a dynamic manufacturing environment and secure DoD-level clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting
• Ability to obtain ATF access clearance

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
• Ability to support 2nd shift.
