Job summary

The Parts Department at Harnish Group Inc. seeks a Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) in our Juneau, AK branch to maximize the sale of parts and service within the assigned territory and to be the primary contact for all parts and service programs.

The role requires building a customer base, regular site visits, and proactive selling of parts and services. A bachelor’s degree in business is preferred with 2–3 years of industry sales experience or 4+ years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a customer base and keep VIP customers informed of new parts and services.

• Know the products well to conduct routine inspections and provide quotes for services needed.

The Parts Department is seeking aProduct Support Sales Representative (PSSR) in our Juneau, AK branch as the primary contact for all parts and service programs and to be responsible for maximizing the sale of parts and service within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position is critical to our business for developing and maintaining a customer base and keeping each VIP customer informed of new parts and services available.
• Maintaining site visits, completing weekly call reports with our customers and proactively selling parts and service to specified customers is essential for increasing sales of parts and service.
• Knowing the products well is required in order to conduct routine inspections of undercarriage and ground engaging tools to determine wear and tear so as to recommend products and quotes for services needed.

Personal Attributes, Experience, and Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in business is preferred along with 2-3 years of industry sales experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 4 years or more of equivalent experience is required.
• Prospecting, new business development and customer retention skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• This role includes periodic lifting, twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling.
• Occasionally may need to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
• A valid driver’s license.
