Job summary

Lam Research in Fremont, CA is seeking a Manager of Product Support to oversee technical support for robotics products and platform types worldwide. You will lead field engineers, technicians, and specialists, coordinating with design and software teams to diagnose and repair complex equipment and systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer focus, and collaboration in a fast-moving semiconductor environment. Flexible onsite work model is offered with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-6 years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry; at least the last 2 years in a people management capacity.
• Structured problem solving (preferably 8D methodology).
• Ability to establish successful relationships in a multicultural environment with external and internal customers.
• Service oriented.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Role is onsite flex.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical support of company customers by field engineers and support specialists.
• Establish and maintain communication with design engineering and software development on design and maintenance issues.
• Ensure engineers are current with latest upgrades and releases.
• May participate in customer installation and training programs.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient team operation.
• Direct and supervise the day-to-day work of direct reports.
• Manage annual performance and development exercises for direct reports.
• Mentor high-potential personnel to build a stronger team.
