Job summary

Lam Research in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Product Support Engineering leader based in Fremont to supervise a growing team of engineers and field staff. You’ll coordinate with product and engineering groups to support robotics platforms and complex systems for global customers.

You’ll drive performance, mentor staff, and manage delivery of upgrades, training, and deployments while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4–6 years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry; at least the last 2 years in a people management capacity.
• Excellent written/verbal communication.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Capable of structured problem solving (8D methodology).
• Ability to establish successful relationships in a multicultural environment with external and internal customers.
• Service orientated.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Role is onsite flex.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers that respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in non-functioning equipment systems or software.
• Establish and maintain lines of communication with design engineering and software development on design, reliability, and maintenance issues.
• Ensure that engineers are current with the latest upgrades and/or new releases.
• May be involved in customer installation and training programs.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
• Direct and supervise the day-to-day work of your direct reports.
• Responsible for the annual Performance Management & Development exercise of your direct reports.
• Develop and mentor high-potential personnel to continuously build a stronger team as well as provide opportunities for qualified internal personnel.
