Job summary

WEG Electric Corp in Duluth, GA is seeking a Product Support Engineer (Electrical Motors) to provide post-sales technical support for our motor product line. You will handle complex calls and warranty inquiries, reading drawings and advising customers and internal teams.

You bring a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and 2–3 years of related experience; SAP experience is a plus, with travel up to 25% and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent; 2–3 years of related experience.
• Customer service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information.
• Working knowledge of electric motors; SAP experience is a plus.

Product Support Engineer (Electrical Motors)

WEG Electric has a great opportunity for a Product Support Engineer (Service) to join our Service Department in our Duluth, GA office. This role will be responsible to provide technical support for our Electric Motors product line. The Service Engineer will resolve long-term and escalated technical calls and emails dealing with post-sales troubleshooting, warranty claims and technical issues. Additional responsibilities involves communicating issues with internal customers (Quality, Engineering, Sales), analyzing warranty claims data and determine its accuracy, issuing credits and working with the factories in Brazil and Mexico. This role will also arrange third party assistance for customers, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have aBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalentand 2-3 years of related experience. Must be customer service oriented and have a working knowledge of electric motors as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information. Prior SAP experience is a plus. Requires strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Must be a team player, demonstrate effective problem solving skills and display strong attention to detail. May require occasional travel (25%) and overtime.
