Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join our Product Security team to strengthen the security of Akamai's products and collaborate with development teams on secure design and development choices.

You will work across security architecture in a global environment, stay current with threats, and help integrate AI responsibly into workflows while ensuring products and internal use are secured.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment (identifying architectural security weaknesses at the application, OS, and network level).
• Know how to remediate common vulnerabilities and propose custom solutions based on architecture and implementation.
• Familiarity with cloud security, network security, cryptography, etc.

Responsibilities

• Performing security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across a wide range of products, including security, CDN and cloud computing.
• Partnering with development and infrastructure teams to assist with remediation of identified issues.
• Working with product development teams on secure design and development choices.
• Providing guidance and answering questions about security practices.
• Serving as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identifying tools and processes to ensure products meet security and compliance requirements.
• Integrating responsible use of AI into workflows and ensuring company and product security.
