Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join the Product Security team to enhance the security of Akamai's products by working with development teams to embed security into design and development.

This role focuses on secure design reviews, threat modeling, incident response, and collaboration across a worldwide engineering organization. You'll work on integrating AI responsibly into security workflows and ensuring products meet security and compliance requirements, while

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment (identifying architectural security weaknesses at the application, OS, and network level).
• Knowledge of current security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose custom solutions based on architecture and implementation.
• Breadth of security knowledge across cloud security, network security, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling or hazard-analysis frameworks such as STAMP, STRIDE, etc.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across a wide range of products including security, CDN and cloud computing.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to assist with remediation of identified issues.
• Collaborate with product development teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance and answer questions about security practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure products meet security and compliance requirements.
• Integrate responsible use of AI into workflows for internal use and products.
