Job summary

DirectViz Headquarters is seeking a Middle Product Owner for a temporary assignment to bridge stakeholders and development teams in an agile environment. You will define the product vision, prioritize the backlog, and ensure value-driven delivery across sprints.

Strong negotiation skills and DoD-like security awareness are a plus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clear user stories, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as Product Owner, BA, or similar in agile environments
• ISTQB certification required
• Diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certification preferred
• Experience in government contracting or federal environments is a plus
• DoD 8570 IA Technical Level compliance or ability to obtain preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to teams and stakeholders
• Develop and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and feasibility
• Write clear user stories with acceptance criteria for development
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews with cross-functional teams
• Negotiate scope, timelines, and resources with stakeholders
• Resolve conflicts between stakeholder requirements and technical constraints
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of increments
• Monitor product metrics and gather feedback for iterative improvements
• Maintain alignment between deliverables and organizational goals
• Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and technical leads
• Present product demos and progress updates to executives and clients
