Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Product Engineer to design, develop, and improve products, kits, and components. You will release final products for manufacture, support field testing, and coordinate engineering changes.

This on-site role requires hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. You will manage multiple projects, create detailed drawings and BOMs, and interact with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience, preferably in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
• Advanced/Intermediate CAD experience; knowledge of GD&T, FEA, and DFMEA.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop products or components; prepare layouts and drawings; develop experimental test programs.
• Lead and coordinate engineering changes and product improvements; review production readiness and quality standards.
• Analyze test data to ensure designs meet specifications and performance targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers and other functions; support field installations and customer testing.
