Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to lead electromechanical access control product development on a cross‑functional team. You will prototype, test, troubleshoot, and validate designs using FEA and other analytical methods to ensure performance and manufacturability.

You will communicate results through formal reports and briefings, set tolerances for assemblies, and consider cost, schedule, and manufacturability throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years related experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and standard engineering software.
• Ability to write reports and present information in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test and troubleshoot electromechanical access control products.
• Apply advanced mathematical analysis and FEA in validation before prototyping and testing.
• Provide design solutions that fulfill product requirements and industry knowledge.
• Visualize and communicate design solutions to meet project outcomes.
• Prepare formal reports on product status for executive staff.
• Define tolerances for parts to ensure producibility and reliability.
