Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Lead Product Design Engineer across concept, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing readiness. You will turn design specs into physical prototypes, maintain CAD drawings and BOMs, and help move projects into full production.

You will assist with on-site testing, QA, and test procedures, while developing manufacturing instructions and tools. This role requires collaboration with production, design, and quality teams to ensure high

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering technology or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical development, repair, or manufacturing.
• Experience with measuring instruments and shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Prototype parts using various equipment including CNC machines, welding, and assembly tasks.
• Create CAD models and BOMs, and maintain fabrication drawings to ensure conformance with standards.
• Assist with on-site and field testing of prototypes, perform QA checks and develop test procedures.
• Act as liaison between design engineering and production; create work instructions and product manuals.
• Create jigs for repair and production and provide ongoing production support for quality.
• Maintain revision logs for procedures and documentation; create, manage, and close ECOs.
