ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Berlin seeks a Sustaining Engineer to design and develop products, prototype, document, and sustain engineering efforts that balance cost efficiency with top quality delivery.

You will work with mechanical engineering, SolidWorks, PDM and ERP to manage changes, prepare BOMs, and coordinate production methods while supporting multiple projects and traveling up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Office, PDM and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve engineering challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to work all projects to closure and make the team successful no matter what it takes
• Aptitude for creative approaches to efficiency gains in engineering support
• Develop design improvements that reduce cost and or improve performance
• Populate and release Engineering Change Notices
• Prepare and populate product BOM in ERP system
• Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs
• Ad hoc projects and assignments as needed
• Travel up to 15%
