Job summary

tarte, headquartered in New York City, seeks a Product Development Coordinator to support the Product Development team and maintain efficient operation of the department.

Responsibilities include end-to-end sample management, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining PD libraries, trackers, and timelines. The role requires 1–2 years in beauty/cosmetics, strong organizational and communication skills, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of full-time experience in beauty or cosmetics preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with product samples, submissions, and cosmetics formulas a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal and vendor communication.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sample management: request, receive, label, organize, track, and distribute samples for formulas.
• Support PD team with new product development initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain and organize PD sample libraries, internal formula feedback, photo trackers, and batch trackers.
• Coordinate and prep samples for internal reviews, vendor meetings, market week meetings and pre-launch activities.
• Track and document feedback from internal teams and relay to external vendors.
• Support formula testing, model try-ons, compatibility testing, and internal feedback analysis.
• Manage daily package intake and outbound shipments; send daily package update emails.
• Assist in maintaining project timelines.
• Schedule and attend vendor presentations both in office and at trade shows while responsible for product meeting recaps.
• Help track product performance from development through reorder batches.
• Maintain organization of artwork/photo samples and contribute to image database management.
