Job summary

Gallup is seeking a product design intern for a summer 2027 program in Omaha. You will learn alongside experienced designers, work on real product tasks, and gain hands-on mentorship to turn complex ideas into intuitive digital experiences.

You’ll partner with designers and engineers, contribute to design operations, and explore how AI tools can support product design and problem-solving. This internship is on-site with some Friday remote options.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in human–computer interaction, graphic design, product design, interaction design, computer science or related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing product design work from academic, personal, internship or other projects is required.
  • Previous internship or hands-on experience is preferred.

Job description

Gallup has limited openings for this internship, and the position will be filled quickly.

As a product design intern at Gallup, you'll learn alongside experienced designers as you explore how thoughtful product design can turn complex ideas into intuitive digital experiences. You'll contribute to real product work, build your skills through hands‑on mentorship and discover how human behavior, technology and visual design come together to create products people want to use.

What You'll Do

During your internship, you will:

  • Partner with experienced product designers on scoped design projects for Gallup's digital products
  • Explore user needs and use cases and apply what you learn to product design concepts
  • Contribute to design operations by organizing design files and supporting clear, consistent design practices
  • Collaborate with designers, product and engineering partners while learning how ideas move from exploration to implementation
  • Build your product design skills through feedback, mentorship and exposure to real-world design challenges
What You Need
  • Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in human‑computer interaction, graphic design, product design, interaction design, computer science or a related field required
  • Portfolio showcasing product design work from academic, personal, internship or other projects required
  • Previous internship or other relevant hands‑on experience preferred
  • Experience using Figma or similar design and prototyping tools preferred
  • Interest in exploring how AI tools can support product design, learning and creative problem‑solving preferred
  • Enrollment at a college or university within a 250‑mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, required
  • Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 required
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 required
  • A commitment to working on‑site at Gallup's Omaha office Monday through Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday
  • Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
