Job summary

Gallup is seeking a Summer 2027 intern to help build and improve observability for applications on AWS, using Dynatrace and PagerDuty. You will create dashboards, alerts, and metrics to give real-time insight to engineering teams and support automated alerting workflows with Slack.

The role involves shadowing incident response to learn how issues are detected, resolved, and prevented before customers are affected, and writing automation to reduce repetitive work.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree program in computer science, MIS, or a related field
• Basic knowledge or experience with AWS or another cloud platform
• Basic knowledge or experience with Windows or Linux server administration, networking, or infrastructure
• Classroom or professional experience with one or more of the following: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Docker, Amazon ECS, GitHub
• Preferred exposure to monitoring or incident management tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, or PagerDuty
• Enrollment at a college or university within an 80-mile radius of San Francisco, California
• Preferred anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028; 2029 graduates will be considered
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during summer 2027
• Commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office Monday through Thursday, with remote work option on Friday
• Eligibility to work in the United States; this position does not sponsor employment visas

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time summer 2027 internship paying $45 to $50 per hour
• Potential to work up to 20 hours per week during the school year, depending on business demands
