Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Product Counsel to join our legal team in San Francisco, CA. You will provide hands-on legal guidance across the product development lifecycle, partnering with product and engineering to assess risk and enable rapid, compliant innovation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience, and a JD with bar admission. You will draft and negotiate technology transactions, translate privacy and AI regulations into practical guidance, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience.
• JD and bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience drafting or negotiating technology transactions or commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on product counseling with product and engineering teams.
• Translate privacy, IP, data protection, and AI/regulatory considerations into actionable guidance.
• Support complex customer, partner, and vendor negotiations with other legal and business partners.
• Draft and review terms, disclosures, and marketing copy.
• Help draft policies, playbooks, checklists, FAQs, and training materials.
