Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Product Counsel Lead to join its legal team in Sunnyvale. You will report to the General Counsel and support Product, Engineering, and Marketing with strategic legal guidance on privacy, copyright, accessibility, and emerging technologies.

Ideal candidates are business-minded lawyers who can lead major projects, translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance, and collaborate with internal teams while navigating ambiguity in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' of law firm and/or in-house experience in technology.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active state bar.
• Experience counseling product teams on regulatory requirements and risk mitigation for new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Advise Product, Engineering, and Marketing on privacy, data protection, IP, and consumer protections.
• Lead cross-functional projects to integrate legal requirements into product development workflows.
• Review product integrations for contractual obligations and data protection compliance.
• Translate legal advice into actionable guidance for product and engineering teams.
• Manage our patenting program and advise on IP strategy.
• Build policies and playbooks to address risk while enabling innovation.
• Review customer contracts, inbound contracts, and marketing materials for compliance.
• Collaborate with regulators and external sources to stay current on AI-related law.
• Assist with M&A transactions.
