Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Florida is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help customers make healthy choices and lead one of the busiest teams in our store. You will support the Produce Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and ensuring fresh, high-quality produce.

This role emphasizes skilled communication, dependability, teamwork, and a friendly, informative customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Dependable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations including Food Handlers permit.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Ability to use a pallet jack for moving pallets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order goods, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, display, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team brainstorm to deliver high-quality product and customer service.
• Help hire, train, and develop the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
