Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead one of the busiest teams in our store. You will support the Produce Manager by ensuring product quality, inventory controls, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, training new team members, ordering, pricing, and maintaining freshness across the department while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have basic math skills.
• Reliable, able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines and carry a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Can operate pallet jack and handle heavy objects as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards: receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, rotation.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries and maintain produce equipment.
